Petri Salo,
Ph.D., senior researcher in adult education at Åbo
Academy University in Vasa. The main field of studies
are the identity, history and future of popular
education in Finland and Nordic countries, schools as
organizations and the overall challenges of adult
education in the late modern society. The main
publications within the three fields mentioned above are
“Which gate – popular education? Essays on the identity
and future of popular education” (2004, published in
Swedish), “School as a micropolitical organization – a
study of what school really is” (2002 published in
Swedish) and “Edifying adult education” (2002 published
in Finnish together with Juha Suoranta). |
