(0 kb)Risto Rinne is a professor of education and director in the Department of Education at the University of Turku. He is also the director of the Centre for Research on Lifelong Learning and Education (CELE) in the University of Turku as well as the director of the Finnish Graduate School in Education and Learning (FiGSEL). Rinne has published over 400 scientific publications and he has led many research projects. His main interests and publications include sociology of education, international comparative education, educational policy, citizenship and learning in knowledge society and history of education. He has also published many articles and books in the field of transmission and building the educational knowledge base in Europe.
